Life Skills Room

Life skills are an essential part of early childhood education and at Ambassador Kindergarten life skills are naturally promoted by integrating these skills into children’s play. A dedicated Life Skills Room helps the teachers to connect the dots between child’s play and the value of that play when it comes to building and developing daily life skills, as kids spend each day doing daily tasks such as putting bags away, pouring cups of juice, or washing hands and getting ready for snack.

Mastering any kind of life skill takes time and experience. As young children take part in picking up toys, wiping down a table, or serving their own snack – they are building important skills that are essential in keeping their world organized.

In the Life Skills Room, activities range anywhere from learning to play cooperatively with others to independently completing tasks and learning the finer details of life such as zipping, buttoning, lacing, pouring, setting a table, rolling mats etc. The room has a thematic setting and children learn conceptually about each activity.

The room is complete with all play materials that replicate real life situations and daily hands-on activities, arranged in a role play setting. The little ones complete one job after another and feel confident.
